Riverdale will be airing the flashback episode tonight and with that will come a familiar face to some. While many of the actors will be playing the younger versions of their parents in high school, the young Hiram Lodge was cast as someone new.
Michael Consuelos will debut as the young Hiram Lodge. If his name sounds familiar, you aren’t dreaming it up. Michael is the son of Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa. News of him landing the role as the younger version of his father came out back in summer.
The plotline is set to fill in Riverdale viewers about the game that has the town in a supernatural state. Apparently, the parents dealt with something when they were in high school and no one talks about it.
With the concerned look of Alice (Madchen Amick) and FP (Skeet Ulrich), there has been plenty of interest regarding what happened.
Gryphons & Gargoyles, a dangerous role-playing game, has been plaguing Riverdale residents and apparently, the generation before them as well. Now, fans will get an inside look at the parents and how they dealt with the game and the consequences decades before.
Riverdale is a family affair
Consuelos appeared on Live! With Kelly and Ryan this morning to discuss his role on Riverdale. Michael Consuelos is just 21 and many viewers remember when he was born back in 1997.
His parents, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were part of an All My Children super couple, Hayley and Matteo. Michael was their first child and after him, they welcomed two more.
It looks like Riverdale will truly become a family affair as Kelly Ripa confirmed she was tapped to play Hiram Lodge’s mistress on the show. Now, three members of the Consuelos family will have graced the small screen on the same show!
Riverdale airs Wednesday nights at 8/7c on the CW network.
