Xander Berkeley will guest star on Sunday’s episode of Supergirl, playing Pete Lockwood, the father of Ben Lockwood played by Sam Witwer. Throughout the episode, fans will see how Ben transforms from the mild-mannered professor to the evil villain viewers know as Agent Liberty.

The episode tells Ben’s past with aliens and the preview reveals that he didn’t always hate the creatures, partially due to input from his father.

Viewers will probably remember Xander Berkeley from his most recent role on The Walking Dead but his acting resume is vast and he’s been in quite a few productions over the years.

Berkeley, who is no stranger to the small screen, started out in the theater as a young child. He studied as Hampshire college and the University of Massachusetts, continuing to engage himself in theater and performing. He moved to New York when he was done his studies, working with private teachers at the Royal Academy of the Arts. He would also work with Lee Strasberg at The Actor’s Studio in Los Angeles.

Xander Berkeley’s first movie was from 1981 called Mommie Dearest. IMDB lists over 230 credits with two additional projects that are done, including a movie called City of Lies and one called Not Born.

However, fans may best know him from Gattaca, Terminator 2, Air Force One, Shanghai Noon, The Walking Dead, 12 Monkeys – the TV show, Salem, The Mentalist, Nikita, Medium, Criminal Minds, Jericho, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Teen Titans, Pony, CIS: Crime Scene Investigation, 24, and many more.

Berkeley is an award-winning actor, winning the Best Actor award in 2018 at the Albuquerque Film and Music Experience. He also won for the 2014 movie Pony at the Barcelona International Film Festival in 2016.

Pony also won for awards at the Boston Film Festival, California International Shorts, and Hollywood Film Festival for Best Short Film and Best Narrative Short.

He’s been married to Sarah Clarke since 2002 and they have two daughters, Olwyn Harper and Rowan.

In case you want to follow him on social media, his Instagram is private but he is quite active on Twitter, recently sharing a photo from The Walking Dead set.

Xander Berkeley seems to be outspoken about things he’s passionate about, including the political landscape in the country and even sharing his opinion about spanking.

You can catch Xander Berkeley on Supergirl on Sunday. It’s currently unknown whether it’s a single episode feature or if Pete Lockwood will return for later episodes.

Supergirl airs Sundays at 8/7c on CW.
