Gabe Brown from Alaskan Bush People is looking happy and healthy following his illness earlier this year — after posting a string of new images of himself on Instagram.

The fan favorite has put up several photos in recent days of him looking well, accompanied by extracts from the Bible and other religious-themed messages.

In one photo, he showed a tattoo on his left shoulder of a wooden crucifix, along with text from the Book of Acts.

In his most recent post, pictured at the top of this story, a beaming Gabe Brown, wearing a straw hat, is seen smiling at the camera as he takes a selfie from inside a car.

He wrote alongside the photograph: “As you go about your day remember ‘the hardest lie to see through is the one we tell ourselves, I’m not good enough, I don’t deserve anything, no one could ever love me, so on and so forth.’ -Darwin Edgar Jr. God loves us all smile and be happy.”

In another post, Gabe showed himself looking side-on at the camera, with the caption: “Sometimes we go through things so horrible we start to think that’s life (it’s not) trust in God and just let go.”

In another, Gabe quoted Psalm 28: “Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. 7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”

Gabe’s healthy look and upbeat posts come after he suffered a mystery illness last year, which Radar Online recently reported meant he had to spend time apart from his family so mom Ami, who is in remission from cancer, “didn’t catch anything”.

The website previously posted a story back in April revealing Gabe had been suffering from a “flu-like illness”. Another story back in March made reference to the star’s mental health, saying he was suffering a “bizarre mental breakdown” with the headline: “DOWNWARD SPIRAL? Gabe Gone Mad! ‘Alaskan Bush’ Star Continues To Unravel In Bizarre Mental Meltdown.”

Alaskan Bush People matriarch Ami’s battle with cancer made headlines last year after she underwent months of gruelling chemotherapy treatment before medics gave her the good news in December that her body was beating the disease.

Ami underwent further checks in recent weeks, with son Joshua Bam Bam Brown revealing on Twitter that she was still in remission. He said: “So thrilled that my mom is still in remission and grateful to all of the doctors at UCLA for caring for her/us so well.  We are very blessed.”

The Brown family recently moved to Washington to set up their new home, after leaving Alaska last year so Ami could receive treatment at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Alaskan Bush People Season 8 is currently filming and is expected to air later this year. Filming was initially delayed due to an unusually long and harsh winter in the location where they are now living.
