Huge casting changes have hit soap land, including Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless, and we have the full juicy scoop for you!

Daytime Confidential reports that Stacy Haiduk (ex Patty Williams, The Young and the Restless) is taping on DOOL in at least one of the roles made infamous by Eileen Davidson.

When we say roles, plural, we mean: Kristen DiMera, the notorious Elvis-loving Susan, plus Mary Moira, Thomas and Penelope Banks. Whew!

Speaking of Davidson, she is out at Y&R, according to the same website. There she’s played Ashley Abbott off and on since 1982. Davidson has an impressive set off acting chops, at times appearing on DOOL and Y&R concurrently!

Now that she’s stopped taping at Y&R will she make a comeback to her other soapy home base, DOOL, where she appeared off and on from 1993-2007? We shall see!

Then again she may choose to return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which she exited last year. She’s great friends with Erika Girardi who has appeared on Y&R at Eileen’s behest.

Soaps.sheknows.com has announced that Stephen Nichols and DOOL have not agreed on contract terms leading to the actor’s departure. His character, Patch, is in a front burner story line at the moment, so it will be interesting to see how that drama plays out.

Nichols’ contract expired in March and he will appear on screen as late as September.
