Briana DeJesus announced last year that she had finally moved on from Javi Marroquin. She introduced her new boyfriend, John Rodriguez, on social media in September of last year and it sounds like they had fun together. And while she was calling him baby daddy on Instagram and planning their future together, it sounds like he may not have been the one after all.
While the Teen Mom 2 premiere on MTV last night focused on Briana’s disappointment in Devoin over being drunk while caring for their daughter Nova, fans wondered whether she was still dating John at the time.
As it turns out, the two actually called it quits in August of this year. It was just three weeks ago when the news broke that Briana and John were no longer a couple. The two had been together for over a year, but she deleted all photos of him when they broke things off. He reportedly did the same thing, although we could not locate his Instagram profile to verify it.
The Ashley reports that Briana made some comments around the time of the breakup, including that she was making some big changes in her life and she was moving on to bigger and better things. She pointed out that her priority was making money so she could take care of her kids. Briana said that everything else was background noise.
She had previously told various news outlets that they were planning on living together, getting married, and having children. While we don’t know the details about the breakup, it sounds like it may have been a bit messy as they both chose to delete older photos of them together. Perhaps the breakup will be featured on this season of Teen Mom 2 or discussed during the reunion special.
