Kelly Clarkson weight loss: How did she lose the pounds?

Kelly Clarkson has garnered a lot of attention during the brand new season of The Voice. She is looking slimmer these days, something that many fans have commented on since the season began. Now that the blind auditions are over and there are more full body shots, the crowd is praising her new look.

It has been a long couple of years for Kelly Clarkson. She earned superstar status when she won American Idol on the freshman season of the show. Since then, Clarkson has done well in the spotlight but not without some heavy criticism for her appearance, mostly focused on her weight gain.

Back in June, Kelly Clarkson opened up about her 37-pound weight loss and how she was able to get off the medication she was on. According to E! Online, she revealed she had an autoimmune disease and a thyroid problem that began over a decade ago.

Things needed to change and while weight loss was an obvious perk for the singer, she was just happy to not need the medication anymore.

The Plant Paradox: The Hidden Dangers in “Healthy” Foods That Cause Disease and Weight Gain is a book by Steven Gundry. It was released in 2017 and Kelly Clarkson credits it for helping her change her life. The book coupled with a new diet helped the singer to get on track to a healthier path.

The media was heavily focused on Kelly Clarkson and her weight gain and now, she is showing off her new figure and speaking out about how changing what she ate helped her become healthier. Despite the bonus weight loss, she is focused on her health issues being resolved by simply using smarter choices and the help of a book she picked up.

The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8/7c on NBC.
