Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe attended the Sundance Film Festival this past week and when he sat down with Variety for an interview, he had some words for New England Patriot’s quarterback, Tom Brady.
With the Super Bowl coming up, Radcliffe was asked who he was cheering on – the Rams or the Patriots. His answer was straightforward. Daniel claims that the whole world is cheering against Brady, and asked Tom to take the MAGA hat out of his locker.
Radcliffe explains that everyone thought Brady was great until he was caught with a MAGA hat in his locker. That’s when Daniel believes the world turned on Tom.
Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bündchen have not commented on Daniel’s interview comments. Gisele has only shown her support for her husband. She’s usually rather outspoken when people go after her husband, but she hasn’t addressed these new comments.
Radcliffe’s comments refer to an interview Tom Brady did from his locker room before Donald Trump became the president.
Tom had previously been spotted with a Make America Great Again hat in his locker, and when asked about it, Brady revealed that it was a nice keepsake, and that it would be great if Trump won the election.
CNN reports that Trump has been a longtime supporter of Tom Brady, and didn’t hold back his support when Tom went through the infamous “deflategate” scandal.
He also congratulated Tom and the team on their Super Bowl bid. He did not congratulate the Los Angeles Rams in their achievements.
While Daniel wasn’t sure whether the Rams would win, it sounds like he’s ready to cheer on any team besides the New England Patriots while they are led by Tom Brady.
The Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday, February 3, at 6:30/5:30c on CBS.
