Watch: Skrillex Releases Cerebral Video For ‘Red Lips’

image001 (6)Skrillex has released a new music video for his incendiary rework of GTA’s “Red Lips”, and it is the trippiest fantasy you’ll ever see.

“Red Lips (Skrillex Remix),” which was released today on Apple Music, features a pale girl dance battling with some very talented yet terrifying contortionists. The erratic body movements are very much warranted when paired with Skrillex’s production. He transformed the duo’s trap banger of a track into a hard hitting bass monster, replete with his signature clangy synths.

The music video was co-produced, co-written and co-edited by Skrillex alongside acclaimed director Grant Singer, who directed the fiery music video for The Weeknd’s “I Can’t Feel My Face,” and a hand-selected crew of award-winning names in the film industry who contributed to some of the most iconic movies of the past decade. “Red Lips” is the super producer’s largest video production to date, Skrillex and his team put painstaking attention to detail over several months to make this his most monumental and ambitious release.

Sonny Moore, otherwise known as Skrillex, has had a meteoric rise since he grabbed our collective attention in 2011, and 2015 has been one of the most prolific years of Skrillex’s career yet. This year he debuted his superstar Jack Ü project with Diplo, received a coveted double-Platinum status for their hit song “Where Are Ü Now” with Justin Bieber, which also won Best Collaboration at the 2015 American Music Awards, broke further into hip-hop world on collaborations with Vic Mensa, The Game and Big Grams, produced six songs on Justin Bieber’s album Purpose, and received over 350,000,000 plays across the six videos he released this year. This year has proven yet again that Skrillex is an unstoppable force in pop, hip-hop and electronic music.
