With their forthcoming album, Gone By the Dawn, the nostalgia minded triumvirate Shannon and the Clams have released a new video for “Point of Being Right”, the second single, after the somber ballad, “Corvette,” is straight off the new record being released on September 11th.
Gone By the Dawn is the group’s fourth studio release, and is considerably their most poignant. Continuing a pattern of strange, yet accessible sound, Shannon and the Clams have crafted an album deep with sorrow, introspection and a daring nature. They command the listener, roping them into a world where the emotion is palpable and the energy is real.
An album stuffed full of pure, raw rock songs, Gone By the Dawn is sure to be a fit beyond the familiar borders of the band’s own fandom. Check out the release on Hardly Art coming soon, with the full backing of UK tour dates.
Formed in 2009, Shannon and the Clams consists of Oregon resident, Cody Blanchard, and California residents, Shannon Shaw, and Nate Mayhem. They all met in Oakland, and began making music together where the put out releases such as, I Wanna Go Home, and Rat House. All three are also visual artists and have worked to make their sets as dynamic as they are raw.
