Disney have just released the first trailer for their new remake of Beauty and the Beast — with just the tiniest glimpse of Emma Watson as Belle.
The one-and-a-half minute trailer gives very little away, but definitely leaves us wanting more.
The new release, set to hit theaters on 17 March next year, is one of the most-anticipated remakes of all time.
The trailer has a slow-burning build-up with shots of the Beast’s castle. Only at the end does Belle arrive, entering the castle before she is seen reaching towards the story’s iconic Enchanted Rose.
It is 25 years since the original animated version of Beauty and the Beast was released in 1991.
The 2017 remake also stars Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Luke Evans as Gaston, Dan Stevens as the beast, Sir Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts.
