5 Seconds of Summer is celebrating a big anniversary today. It has been three years since their album, Sounds Good Feels Good, was released and fans are excited about this major anniversary.

On Twitter, #3YearsOfSGFG started trending after the band posted an update revealing that they were having a listening party on Instagram for the album to celebrate the anniversary.

Even though 5 Seconds of Summer found fame while touring with One Direction on their Take Me Home Tour in 2015, the band had actually been active since 2011, starting off on YouTube. It was in October 2015 that their second album Sounds Good Feels Good was released, becoming a huge success for the band.

The album peaked at number 1 in November of 2015, and it became a chart-topper in several countries. It also became the soundtrack to many young people’s lives.

In celebration of the Sounds Good Feels Good album, many fans have been taking to Twitter to reveal how much of a game-changer it was for them. One person even thanked the band for saving her life.

From the album, the songs that resonated with fans the most included She’s Kinda Hot, Jet Black Heart, Broken Home, and Permanent Vacation.

5 Seconds of Summer consists of Luke Hemmings on lead vocals and guitar, Calum Hood on bass guitar and vocals, Michael Clifford on guitar and vocals, and Ashton Irwin on drums, percussion, and vocals.
