The new trailer for  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children has just been with released — with lots more of Eva Green and a further glimpse at Samuel L Jackson’s evil character Barron.

The new clip reveals a lot more of the dark side of the plot in Tim Burton’s upcoming movie, including footage of Jackson’s scary-looking Barron speaking for the first time.

It also includes an incredible scene where a boat rises from the deep and emerges in spectacular fashion from the surface of the ocean.

The trailer also explains the phenomenon of the 24-hour “time loop” which allows the home’s residents to stay there forever. As a result, the home is stuck in time — and at one point Nazi bombs are seen dropping from the sky.

And it features a lot more of Ender’s Game star Asa Butterfield as Jake, who is tasked with saving the “peculiars” from the evil Hollowgasts.

Eva plays the titular Miss Peregrine in the movie, who runs the home for children with certain peculiarities.

Last week a new set of posters were released introducing us to the main characters.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is set to be released on September 30.
