Sarah is indeed a survivor. Having been living in London at the time of her marriage, and also being her age mate,(Idogged class and watched the wedding when i was at university in Guildford), I followed her life through her marriage and the trauma of her sister in marrage and friend Diana. This woman is such a fountain of hope to all women. I came back home to Africa in 1996 when her marriage ended. It's truly refreshing to read about her success story. Pity i cant get her books or how she managed to deal with her weight prob....I still remember that defensive answer on TV of..' i dont care what people say about my weight and my dressing, when i wake up in the morning, i dress for Andrew' Oh, that was so heart rending! Now how can we in africa get her diet advice? I'm on gmulundu@zamtel.zm

Sarah comes from aristocracy with royal Stuart ancestry. On her father's side, Sarah is a descendant of King Charles II of England from two of his illegitimate sons Charles Lennox, 1st Duke of Richmond and James Scott, 1st Duke of Monmouth. She is a great-great-granddaughter of William Montagu-Douglas-Scott, 6th Duke of Buccleuch and a great-granddaughter of Mervyn Wingfield, 8th Viscount Powerscourt. Her grandmother was Lady Marian Louisa Montagu-Douglas-Scott a first cousin of Lady Alice Christabel Montagu-Douglas-Scott, who became after her marriage with Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, an aunt of Queen Elizabeth
