The next installment of MTV’s reality series is on the way, and The Challenge Season 37 spoilers reveal the potential for some intriguing storylines playing out during the episodes.
One of those stories could include two castmates involved in a relationship, following a cast member’s tough breakup with her ex-girlfriend prior to filming.
This report includes spoilers for the upcoming season of The Challenge, including names of cast members and finalists from the show.
Cast member’s ex shares heated text messages
While MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 seems to feature some returning cast members in serious relationships, it doesn’t appear that included Kaycee Clark or Nany Gonzalez.
In particular, Kaycee broke up with her girlfriend Taylor Jimenez ahead of the season’s filming. Now some messages from Taylor to Kaycee have surfaced in which she mentions Kaycee being with Nany.
On Wednesday, several Instagram accounts showed off the rumored texts, including the private account @jaychallenge._, a Challenge insider/superfan.
The text messages show Kaycee’s ex-girlfriend, Taylor, messaging her about castmate, Nany Gonzalez. In the exchange below, it’s clear that Taylor was not happy about Kaycee being with Nany, telling her to “go date that b***h now.”
“Are you kidding me!! You made me look like an idiot on national television with the same b***h who was ‘there for you,’” Taylor says in one message.
“I hope that b***h takes care of all your s**t since she’s so there for you,” she says in a follow-up with a peace sign.
While Kaycee appears to plead and apologize, Taylor tells her “Go date that b***h now. I’m done with you. I’m so disappointed in you.”
In March, there was speculation that Kaycee and Taylor had broken up, as many fans pointed out they unfollowed one another on social media and deleted posts involving each other from their pages.
A fan on the above IG post of the rumored text messages asked when these were from, and the account poster, @jaychallenge._ says they are from March.
Based on the above messages, it’s apparent that Kaycee and Taylor had a falling out just ahead of the presumed start of Season 37 filming in April.
Castmates together after Season 37 filming
The above text exchange screenshot arrives just after The Challenge Season 37 filming wrapped up in Croatia. Reportedly, the latest finale featured both Nany Gonzalez and Kaycee Clark among the competitors.
Following the wrap on filming, several cast members from the final posted on social media together including Nelson Thomas who was with Kaycee, Nany, and Tori Deal. All four of them were also amongst cast members who went to Ibiza for a bit of a vacation.
Kaycee and Nany popped up in a few Ibiza photos or videos, but not necessarily together.
Within the past few days, a video clip screenshot surfaced, which shows Nany’s arm draped across Kaycee’s leg. The social media superfan accounts revealed the two flew back home and were hanging out post-filming.
The two castmates previously met up during The Challenge: Total Madness, which was Kaycee’s debut season following her time on Big Brother.
During that season, Kaycee and Nany were getting close in terms of their friendship, and Nany was even flirting with Kaycee, who mentioned being in a relationship back home.
Castmates took notice and questioned Kaycee’s loyalty to her girlfriend based on how things were going with Nany.
Tensions flared up when Kaycee’s friend, Big Brother star Bayleigh Dayton, took exception to Kaycee being so close with Nany during the season, and seeming to have her new friend’s back more than Bayleigh’s.
That caused a falling out where Bayleigh told off Kaycee, saying she was done being her friend.
Not much was made of Nany and Kaycee’s friendship or any relationship between them during The Challenge Season 36, Double Agents.
Both ladies made it into the final, but their teams lost to the winning team of Chris “CT” Tamburello and Amber Borzotra.
Based on the above details, Kaycee’s breakup may be a part of what’s mentioned in Season 37 confessionals as Nany and Kaycee’s developing relationship could also be under the spotlight in the upcoming episodes.
