Is there going to be a Season 4 of A Million Little Things?

Deadline reported in May that ABC renewed A Million Little Things for Season 4.

A Million Little Things is a series that has been successful in DVR watchers. It grew to a 2.57 rating among adults 18-49 after 35 days of delayed viewing across linear and digital platforms. That is nearly five times its Live+Same Day rating (0.54 rating).

It was no surprise to see ABC renew the popular series.

Release date latest: When does A Million Little Things Season 4 come out?

Deadline reported there will be 20 episodes in the fourth season, which is the most yet.

“We’re doing 20 episodes this year,” he said. “It’s the biggest season we’ve ever had,” series creator/executive producer DJ Nash told Deadline. “With us getting a 20-episode order, it doesn’t feel like that ABC wants this to be our last season.”

“There’s no question we have enough to do 20 incredible episodes this season,” he added.

With a 20-episode season, that means this show (which had 19 episodes in Season 2 and 18 in Season 3), will likely launch in September when the full season shows hit ABC.

Season 1 hit on September 26, 2018, Season 2 on September 26, 2019, and Season 3 in November, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Season 4 should hit at the end of September.

We will update this article when ABC confirms the official release date of A Million Little Things Season 4.

A Million Little Things Season 4 spoilers

A Million Little Things Season 2 ended with a massive cliffhanger, with someone hitting Eddie and him fighting for his life.

A Million Little Things Season 3 ended with Eddie again as this time, the season finale saw a woman call Eddie and claim to be the driver who hit him.

“We wanted to, this season, examine Alex’s dad, the reverend, and all those stories. But just when we got you to forget about who did this, the question resurfaces again, and I think that’s true to Eddie’s journey,” series creator/executive producer DJ Nash told Deadline.

“Just when he is accepting this is my life, and this is what I’m going to do, and I actually am going to find strength in who I am now, it’s upended by that call coming in, and what we will watch next season is everything about Eddie tested by this call, his sobriety, his ability to be the person he wants to be right now,” he added.

That wasn’t it for the season finale though.

The most shocking moment saw Gary place a bag over the head of music teacher/sexual abuser Peter Benoit, and drag him inside.

This followed Sophie going to the police to turn in Peter, so he couldn’t hurt anyone else after another student, Layla, took her own life. The police wouldn’t do anything about it, which led Gary to take justice into his own hands.

This might have played against him as Sophie revealed Peter’s name on a podcast, revealing what he had done.

[Sophie] is more at peace with what has happened to her than at any point since it happened,” Nash said. “She is going to Maggie. She is going from victim to survivor and retelling her story, but as that’s happening, obviously, Gary’s doing something over at Peter’s that’s going to challenge and threaten all that.”

How these two incidents play out will be a major focus of A Million Little Things Season 4.

ABC has yet to announce when A Million Little Things Season 4 will premiere.
