Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood returned to the show last night with a controversial storyline.
Viewers not following along in the media were surprised to learn that Amber had been arrested.
The arrest happened in July 2019 as she and Andrew Glennon had gotten into a fight over missing the July 4th fireworks last year.
At the time, she was arrested for domestic violence.
Amber Portwood’s year in review
At the time, Amber was furious over missing the fireworks, so she allegedly attacked Andrew with a shoe. It was later revealed that she also attacked with a machete.
She attacked him while he was holding their son James, causing Andrew to fear for his life, as well as the life of James.
Amber was arrested, but released shortly after.
After the incident, Andrew filed for sole custody of their son James. Amber has fought for her rights to see her son, and she recently revealed that she does get to see him frequently.
Months later, it was revealed that Amber had threatened to stab Andrew. The claims were revealed in audio files that were leaked online from what is believed to be a home alarm recording.
In it, Amber is furious, and she threatens to severely hurt Andrew. She has never publicly acknowledged these statements.
Amber has also made allegations towards Andrew, saying he was cheating on her with another woman.
Amber Portwood’s story has fans reacting
Needless to say, fans are shocked that MTV continues to document her story on the show.
As Monsters & Critics has previously reported, Teen Mom OG fans want to see Amber fired from the show.
Many viewers that it is wrong for MTV to pay her so much money for sharing her story when she continues to hurt people and get into trouble.
As fans recall, she chose to go to jail over getting help on earlier seasons of Teen Mom OG.
Based on Twitter reactions, fans weren’t happy to see her on the show last night.

In fact, many viewers felt that MTV should have fired her long ago. MTV fired Jenelle Evans after her husband shot and killed the family dog.
While MTV seemingly has no interest in following Jenelle anymore, they continue to film Amber. She has been with the franchise since the very beginning, despite doing jail time while under contract with the network.
Teen Mom OG airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on MTV.
