Survivor Fire Tokens have become a big part of Season 40 and they will increase in importance over the next few episodes.

As viewers of Survivor: Winners at War have already seen, when a person gets voted out at Tribal Council, they must will their Fire Tokens to someone else who is still in the game.

The Fire Tokens themselves can be used to purchase advantages in the game and the show has only scratched the surface of their importance through the first five episodes.

During the latest episode, Rob Mariano was voted off Survivor at Tribal Council. He had two Fire Tokens in his possession and he willed them to Parvati Shallow.

Rob had gained a second token when Amber Mariano was voted out. She expectedly willed her token to him on the way out of the game.

Everyone starts with one Fire Token during the season and they have to give them up if they are voted out. People residing on Extinction Island can earn more, though, so there is a shifting dynamic brewing in the game.

Parvati Shallow ready to make big moves?

In the preview for Season 40, Episode 6, Parvati is shown considering what she can purchase with her four Fire Tokens. She just got to that point, thanks to Rob, and has some decisions to make.

Meanwhile, it’s also very interesting to note that Natalie Anderson has also managed to collect four Fire Tokens, despite being the first person voted off Survivor this season.

Natalie has been a force on Extinction Island and she is showing how important it is to her to remain the game. Natalie is also proving how fit she is because it’s no easy task to maintain stamina through the grueling trials on Extinction Island.

All 20 members of the Survivor: Winners at War cast are still in the running for the $2 million prize, so it is going to be very exciting to see what happens when Individual Immunity Idols and Fire Tokens start to become a more important facet to Season 40.

Survivor: Winners at War airs Wednesday nights at 8/7c on CBS.
