Culture shock is certainly not uncommon for the participants of 90 Day Fiancé, especially if they have never traveled outside of the US before.
Big Ed’s experience was no different when he went to The Philippines to finally meet the love of his life, Rosemarie. He was quite overwhelmed by the enormous crowds of people and the extreme heat.
Ed’s visit also brought to light just how poor Rosemarie really is. He was sad for her when he found out that she didn’t even have any pajamas, and it prompted him to want to take her shopping to buy some clothes.
Off to the market they go
The two are off shopping and it’s almost too much for Ed. He really struggled with the people being packed in like sardines and was soaking wet from sweating.
He looked like he could have a heat stroke at any minute.
In a confessional, Ed tell us exactly how he felt in the market:
“Right now I’m in a swarm of people. It’s probably over 100 degrees… I’m sweating my ass off right now.”
LOL.
Poor Ed.
Your friend warned you about the heat.
He does his best to keep calm under the intense situation and they find some pajamas for Rosemarie. After asking the price, Ed has his wallet out and Rosemarie reaches right in and grabs some cash… and to top it all off, she tells the vendor to “keep the change.”
Ed was shocked by this and did not like it one bit.
For love or money?
He lets the money-grabbing go the first time and then she does it again. Ed seems to get very worried about this. Not only because he feels it is completely inappropriate, but also because he already has some concerns that she might be scamming him and just using him for his money.
Especially after her sister Maria asked him for money on the sly and asked him not to tell Marie about it. This was highly suspicious, and Ed is not on high alert.
At least he’s not completely blind to the red flags…
Here’s what Big Ed had to say about the whole situation:
“I’m not comfortable with Rose grabbing my money because that’s not what you do. I think it’s borderline, you know, inappropriate. And I already have questions about her sister because she asked me for money,” he says in the exclusive sneak peek. “I don’t want to believe that this could just be a scam, but I don’t know if Rose is in on it or not.”
Will Ed be able to handle the heat? Will Rosemarie show her true colors?
