General Hospital fans watched as Marcus Taggert died on the show yesterday. Real Andrews took to Instagram this morning to thank fans for their support and reminisce about his time on the show.

Viewers were stunned to learn Taggert was dead, especially after his return to General Hospital just a few weeks ago. Now, there is speculation that this could all be a stunt to keep Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in the dark.

Is Taggert really dead on General Hospital?

With the recent Instagram post from Real Andrews, it looks like Taggert may really be dead on General Hospital.

However, there is still a lot to be revealed when it comes to exactly what happened. Taggert was shot while attempting to save his daughter from the grips of Cyrus’ men. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) was unharmed, but now she will have to live with the memories of watching her father get shot.

So many General Hospital viewers aren’t sold on the idea that Taggert is dead on General Hospital. His rich history with the people of Port Charles was exciting to revisit and his connection to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and his daughter’s connection to Cam (William Lipton) was a match made in writing heaven.

Given that Real Andrews thanked everyone for their support and gave shoutouts to big wigs at General Hospital, it certainly makes it seem like Taggert is dead on General Hospital. It could all be a hoax, but that theory is dwindling now that the actor has spoken out.

What’s next for the storyline on General Hospital?

With Taggert dead, General Hospital viewers are looking for justice. Laura (Genie Francis) visited Cyrus and made it clear he isn’t going to like what happens next. She was caught in the crossfire on the docks, and now she has lost a friend.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) have put the pieces together. Taggert and Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) were connected from the DEA. As they weed through everything and the truth comes to light, what happens next is anyone’s guess.

A lot is going on with General Hospital, and the mob violence has created another dimension to many of the current storylines. Will Cyrus get what is coming to him before it is too late?

Be sure to tune in and find out!

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
