Arianne Zucker ‘fired’ from Days of our Lives: When is her final episode as Nicole Walker?

Days of our Lives star Arianne Zucker claims she has been effectively fired from the Peacock soap, ending her run as Nicole Walker.

The shocking news came as Arianne filed a lawsuit against Days over various allegations, including sexual harassment.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Arianne says she filed many complaints against former executive Albert Alarr with Sony’s HR department to address several alleged issues from March to July 2023.

Albert was fired in August 2023 after news that female staff members at Days of our Lives filed complaints of sexual harassment and a toxic work environment against him with HR.

Now, amid her new lawsuit, Arianne has alleged she was retaliated against when it came time for her to renew her contract.

Arianne’s contract expired last month and was not signed amid negotiations, which she alleges were not done in good faith after her claims against Albert.

All of this means that Arianne believes she was effectively fired and, with a lawsuit against Days, likely won’t be back playing Nicole anytime soon.

When is Arianne Zucker’s final airdate as Nicole Walker on Days of our Lives?

The timing of Arianne’s lawsuit comes just as Nicole resurfaces in Salem this week. Days spoilers reveal that EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) finds a way to bring Holly (Ashley Puzemis) back to Salem for treatment.

It turns out Nicole and Holly were written out temporarily due to behind-the-scenes drama last summer involving the allegations against Albert. After he was fired, Arianne was brought back until her recent contract negotiations last month.

Based on the fact Days films six months in advance, Nicole and Arianne will remain on screen until the summer, probably late June or early July.

Should things get resolved with the lawsuit and Arianne is asked back and wants to return, Nicole could be written out again temporarily.

However, that seems unlikely to happen, considering everything that has occurred backstage. Arianne will probably never return to the Peacock soap, but will Nicole?

Will Days recast Nicole amid Arianne Zucker’s firing?

Arianne originated the role of Nicole back in 1998. The actress and character have come and gone over the years, with Arianne always being the one to reprise Nicole.

Depending on how the writers send off Nicole, Days fans can’t help but wonder if the character will be recast. That all depends on what storylines are wrapped up for Arianne’s run ends.

Nicole has a pivotal role in two storylines right now. The first is Holly being in a coma from her drug overdose, while the second is the baby switch story.

At some point, Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole must learn that baby Jude is their son. If that hasn’t come out yet when Arianne’s final airdate arrives, which, let’s be honest, probably won’t, then Nicole will need to be recast eventually to wrap that up.

Right now, though, Days fans will have Arianne and Nicole on-screen for months.

  9. Bring her back. From what I’ve read Albert had been abusive and degrading to many of the female actors for years. Kudos to Adrianne for speaking up, and she should not be punished for doing so. Nicole will not be the same without her and that would be a shame. Shame on the producers for trying to cut her pay and for FIRING HER. Work this out.

I’ve been a loyal follower for over 25 years and have seen many come & go, but Ari not being Nicole will be the straw that breaks this camels back. Bad enough when they kept bouncing back and forth with Abigail. Then Teresa being recast by an actress already there as Gwen! And Ben Weston too?!? Come on 🤦‍♀️

My 34 year old watches and loves Nicole and always has… keep bringing on these dull Characters and I will stop watching and drop Peacock and continue not to watch NBC as it continues to go downhill along with Meet the Press; what a joke! Bring Nicole back, pay her what she’s worth and smack that toxic environment down!

    • Yes. The only reason I pay for peacock is because of Days. But it’s getting less interesting all the time. Getting rid of Nicole may be the last straw.

  15. It is her right to file the sexual harassment case. They shouldn’t retaliate against her. We always look forward to seeing Nicole on air. Without her and others that left it’s not Days of our Lives. Are you getting rid of everyone? Might as well shutdown!

  25. I hate when you retaliate on someone reporting a serious issue. She’s been a great actress and hard to replace her. This switching with people to be another one is awful. Gwen should have just left the show. Now she’s Teresa! Some role switching doesn’t work. Hopefully Nicole comes back with same actress! I’ve been watching Days since I was young with my mother. Women are sexually harassed and most won’t speak up because they are afraid that they will get fired or made to live to regret it due to how they are treated. “Days” better think about their actions a lot of faithful viewers are watching. Most of the viewers are woman and have watched for over 50 years. I personally have watched from day one and almost stopped watch after “Days” killed Marlena by the Salem slasher. Only to find out the fans rallied and by Monday it was Samantha that was killed. Well, this another time fans get together and saying don’t get rid of Nicole (Arianne) just because she did the right thing.

I know very well what it is to be retaliated aganist from principal of a school n Co workers who set people up tell lies cause they think it’s ok to lie and do shit to people on a job cause all u do is work and not pay around I got fired n set up by CO workers and a principal cause he was screwing the pre k teacher in a Catholic school not to mention he’s a married men n a pig low life him n the pre k teacher have no shame not nice to have a pig principal screwing a teacher the whole school knows it it’s like the teacher and her so called friends that are like her are running the school sad part is I never had done anything wrong for this to happen ashamed to say I work for a Catholic school who took there side over me worked there 6 yrs and principal been there 6months so I’m taking them to court from the city mayor office there being in investigated not to mention the pregate teacher abuses children and when I told him that they didn’t want to hear it in a Catholic School it was easy to get rid of me and fire me thank you for listening and I think that she’s doing the right thing in Days of Our Lives if that’s what they’re doing to her they deserve to be accountable for what they’ve done I love her but she plays will miss her I ŵish her luck you will win cause I just won one case now I have another court case I will not stop till I win thank you sher

    • I know John Black is the worst actor I have ever seen. I have to laugh at his crazy facial expressions and body movement. And the raising of one eyebrow is just a hoot. “That’s a fact”. I think Chad is a good actor. Lucas is very bad too. I still watch because I have for many years. Sometimes the acting is so bad it makes me laugh. Nicole is the best actress on the show. Marlena and Eric are good too…oh and Rafe.

  75. I remember watching Days as a little girl with my mother after lunch with my mom when I would be home from school . The strong and courageous women portrayed in the where incredible role models . As time went on I watched the soap and continued to be inspired by the characters and the growth they portrayed. Nicole definitely has been a character that evolved. Arianne has also shown growth and maturity. She is my favorite character. She will be sorely missed. I am 69 now and am considering not watching the show anymore. Strong women like Arianne do not need to be treated this way. We get enough reality in real life. Aren’t women the ones who make up your audience? What are you thinking?

  165. Very bad practice on Ken Cordays decision to fire her. Show how much he doesn’t care if women are sexually harassed. His mom and dad are probably turning in their graves seeing him ruin the Corday reputation.

  167. If Days does not fix this and keep her I will cancel my Peacock account and never watch again. Clearly her original allegations were warranted. Days should be rewarding her bravery coming forward to put and end to an executives abusive behavior. Instead they are punishing her. Shame.

  176. I think the whole thing is ridiculous. I’ve never had an issue with “Nicole” but this crap is too much drama. Let Arianne go… replace her…no big deal. I believe there are characters that can’t be replaced such as Stefano, Victor or Steve (Patch)… I also didn’t like when they tried to replace Bo with Robert Kelker Kelly…no comparison.

  177. Days without Arianna is always boring, she adds great drama and depth to the show, and she’s older now so it’s interesting to see her character mature. Why would they fire a victim & make her more of one? Thats bad business. You’re supposed to nurture and care for your talent. That’s pretty repulsive of them!!!!! And any substitute for Nicole won’t cut it. No one can replace her.

  178. She can be written out. She’s been in that soap far too long and loved by all. Her storyline is far too important right now. The show needs to have it come out get baby is Eric’s and have the perfect couple back together and give EJ what he deserves. Arianne does not deserve to be fired because of what a man done to her and all the others. Unfair 😞 Please don’t replace her just won’t be the same.

  179. I’ve been a loyal watcher since 1980 and since Arianne Zucker entered in 1998 she has been my favorite cast member!!! I doubt anyone could take her place. I sincerely hope the issues can be resolved and she will be brought back. They owe it to the fans. If it cannot be resolved just leave the character of Nicole out!
    It would be like someone else playing the role of Marlena. It can’t be done successfully!
    I will probably stop watching and end my Peacock subscription I ordered just so I could have access to Days!

  180. Ari as Nicole is one of the best actresses, possibly best, on the show. And, the character SHE created — Ari IS Nicole — is the one longtime character still interesting enough to watch. Aside from the fact that I got Peacock just to get Days and will drop my subscription, it is highly unethical to punish the actress by firing her for exposing her perpetrator who was also reported by other women on set and was fired for it — outrageous. Should Days producers not rethink and renig, they could lose many of their few fans left, including this one — a longtime viewer. And Peacock will lose me as well.

I’ve been watching days of our lives ever since Arianne Zucker has been on the show I have always loved her, not renewing her contract (firing) is not a good look for the show especially during this election year when they are taking away women’s rights especially considering she is a beloved character, disappointing to say the least. I was going to say you need to do better but in reality you need to do the right thing and hire her back
