Love After Lockup confirmed a second season earlier this year, and now, fans get a chance to know a little bit about the couples who will be featured. In a little over a month and a half, WEtv is bringing back the show that caught viewers by surprise and had them hooked since the beginning.
Season 2 of Love After Lockup officially begins on December 7 but we are being given some information about the new couples who will be featured. Aside from familiar faces, you may recognize two of the couples from the first season.
Aside from the sneak peek that was released, the network has released bios on the couples that give fans a little idea about what to expect when watching Season 2. This time, there are some pretty big secrets being kept.
Megan and Michael
Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, this couple is planning to get married once Michael is released. Megan has been holding out for a special man and she believes that he fits the bill.
The two have been planning a wedding after Michael proposed during a prison visit. Everything appears to be perfect but it looks like there is a big secret looming that could threaten their happily ever after.
Clint and Tracie
This love story is one that is a bit different. The two have never met in person and Clint found Tracie on the website Meet-An-Inmate.com.
Plans to get married once Tracie is released seem to be coming together but without any actual interaction between the two, it may be a rocky road. Their story is based out of Hobbs, New Mexico.
Marcelino and Brittany
Taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, this story is one that has some viewers wondering if all will go as planned. Brittany has been incarcerated for nearly a decade, something that could make being released and adjusting to life on the outside hard. Marcelino met her through the Meet-An-Inmate.com website as well, after experiencing some serious heartbreak.
Caitlin and Matt
The time spent together between Caitlin and Matt hasn’t amounted to much for the Washington couple. Even though they have spent 30 hours total together, the two plan to get married and start a family.
Caitlin believes that Matt is her soulmate and once he is released, things will be picture-perfect. There is some doubt about this couple, especially given the lack of face to face time.
Aside from the four new couples, there are two Love After Lockup couples that will be familiar to fans. These two didn’t get a lot of screen time and their stories were more outrageous than anyone could have thought.
Angela and Tony
This story left viewers dumbfounded last season. Angela is older than Tony and fell for him because he was good-looking and younger. She showed up to get him from the bus station and he ended up not being released as promised.
Since the show ended, Tony was released and intends on remaining with Angela. But after so much time has passed, will she have moved on? The bio teases there is someone who wants her and that could cause some tension in this situation.
Scott and Lizzie
Watching this story unfold last season likely left a lump in your throat. Scott was devoted to Lizzie despite knowing she was a player. When he went to pick her up, she was not released and ended up serving more time.
Now, Lizzie is getting released and instead of devoting her time to Scott, she wants to reunite with her daughter. It is unclear how the daughter feels about Lizzie’s relationship with Scott, but if it is anything like his son feels, there could definitely be some roadblocks for the couple to navigate.
