Big Brother racist drama: Two BB20 houseguests accused of racism after shocking conversation

There have been a lot of racism controversies on Big Brother over the years and it looks like BB20 isn’t going to be any different. Angela Rummans and Rachel Swindler have found themselves receiving quite a bit of backlash after a conversation they had by the pool.

If previous seasons are any indication, the public outrage won’t affect much for Angela and Rachel except when it comes to prizes and punishments from the BB App Store. Despite that, many can’t believe what they heard. Now, the pair of BB20 contestants is possibly more loathed than Swaggy C, who caught the ire of fans for his cockiness and for always talking about himself in the third person.

It all started when Angela and Rachel were laying in the hammock and started talking about their tans. Angela is seen on camera in a clip of the conversation posted by TMZ and Rachel’s voice can be heard in the background.

Rachel comments that her stomach is getting as dark as “Bay’s,” meaning Bayleigh. That’s when Angela responds, saying, “I know. I’m looking ghetto here with the skin coloration.”

Wait, what? It’s like they both forgot cameras were rolling and just had a case of word vomit but it happens often on Big Brother and even when viewers are shocked and outraged, producers rarely do anything about it.

Remember Aaryn Gries and Gina Zimmerman? They were both allowed to stay after their own Big Brother racism scandals but what they did on the show had major repercussions in their real lives.

Rachel pushed things even further when she continued on her rant about dark stomach skin. She told Angela that she can’t stay out in the sun too much because after two days she would “change ethnicities.”

That’s not exactly how it works and neither of the women seem to understand how offensive their entire conversation is. Would they have that conversation in front of Bayleigh? Did they forget they are on camera 24/7?

Considering we haven’t even made it to the first BB20 eviction yet, this season is off to a pretty rough start. Not only are we dealing with another Big Brother racism scandal but reports that JC Monduix has been incredibly inappropriate have also been circulating lately.

In case you missed that, JC has been seen on the CBS live feeds getting handsy, and ice cream scoop-ey with a few of his housemates. He was seen grabbing at Tyler at one point and then turned to the ladies and was “scooping” at their genitals.

When Big Brother says “expect the unexpected,” this wasn’t what most of us had in mind. Hopefully the Big Brother 20 stars can either get clued in about their inappropriate behavior or be sent packing.

Big Brother 20 airs on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8/7c and Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS.
