Steve-O will guest star on tonight’s episode of Happy Together, playing a tattoo artist named S10cil. In the preview for tonight’s episode, it appears that Jake, played by Damon Wayans, Jr., will get a tattoo from S10cil.
Steve-O’s appearance appears to be a single-episode role, but given how it goes, he may return as S10cil in the future. But who is the man behind the character?
Steve-O‘s legal name is Stephen Glover, and he may best be known for his role in Jackass. However, his desire to become famous – whatever it may mean – started when he was young.
He attended the University of Miami, but ended up dropping out. As Steve-O explains on his personal website, he failed miserably. Stephen became homeless and lived on people’s couches for three years before he went to Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College and graduated in 1997.
Steve-O went to Hollywood and pitched his home videos to producers. It was here he met Jeff Tremaine, who created, directed and produced Jackass.
He was working with Johnny Knoxville to create a stunt-based reality show. The show was picked up and MTV aired the first season of Jackass in 2000.
He continued his success, writing a New York Times best-selling author with the release of his memoir, Professional Idiot. After his MTV success, fans recognized him across the world, and he has visited 38 countries thanks to that fame. He also had an hour-long comedy special, Guilty As Charged, which aired on Showtime.
These days, he’s on tour with his Bucket List show, which started this year. He calls it the unfinished business on his bucket list, including the craziest stunts he hasn’t mastered or tried yet.
In terms of his personal life, Steve-O engaged to a woman named Lux Wright. On Instagram, she defines herself as a stylist, designer, and a photographer with film, commercials and stills experience.
Even though it has been 18 years since Steve-O was introduced to the world on Jackass, he still has over 20 million followers on social media. He often shares snippets from his private life, including the four dogs and two cats that he has rescued with Lux. He reveals on his website that he has plans to start his own animal sanctuary.
Steve-O explains that his most important achievement is being sober for 10 years. He got sober in March 2008 and strives to live a healthy lifestyle in Los Angeles.
