Ten Must-See Acts At 2015 Treasure Island Music Festival

Festival season is a time that people live for, worship, and work endless amounts of hours throughout the year in order to be able to afford it. Treasure Island is the San Francisco based festival located on the eponymous island in the bay that has the honor of closing out the season for us.

It is going on October 17-18, and has a lineup that is fitting for people who love an array of different genres. Deadmau5 will be the Saturday headliner, and The National will headline Sunday. This year’s fest is the weekend of October 17-18.

The great thing about Treasure Island is that it has not sold its soul to Goldenvoice, so the festival itself still feels very intimate and home-y.

While there are still definitely huge bands that are far from intimate, there are more than enough bands that will bring a dedicated audience.

How could you not want to close out the festival season in the best city in the world? Here’s my top ten picks for the bands that you must see while partying your way through loud speakers, miscellaneous trash on the floor, and lots of hipsters.

1. The War On Drugs

2. Father John Misty

3. Azealia Banks

4. Run The Jewels

5. Jose Gonzalez

6. Panda Bear

7. Deerhunter

8. Shamir

9. Ex Hex

10. Viet Cong
