Fans at arenas all over the United States seem to go nuts anytime Bray Wyatt pops up, whether it in on the screen with the Firefly Fun House or in the ring as The Fiend.
While there is a sector of fans online who claim to hate Wyatt and feel he is destroying WWE, that has turned out to be the opposite of the truth.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bray Wyatt is now the number one merchandise seller in WWE.
This is huge for the company and means that the haters who want to see Wyatt gone from WWE television won’t get their wish because they are in the minority.
For many years, John Cena was the top merchandise seller in WWE and that is a big reason that the company ignored the online fans who wanted him to turn heel. They also were able to ignore the “Cena sucks” chants because the fans who were chanting were also spending money on Cena merchandise.
Bray Wyatt has it better. Only those who refuse to listen can’t hear the loud immense cheers for the heel Wyatt. The best thing is that Wyatt can play the role of the heel perfectly and still move a ton of merchandise.
Wyatt as the number one merchandise seller means he has passed names like The New Day, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Rey Mysterio, all of whom sell a lot of t-shirts, masks, posters, and more.
Taking a look at shop.wwe.com and there are Fiend masks, the “heal” and “hurt” gloves, replica side plates from his Universal Championship belt, and a ton of t-shirts. That belt was just revealed in all its glory on SmackDown.
With tag lines like “let me in” and “yowie wowie” plus the Firefly Fun House theme and characters like Ramblin’ Rabbit to go along with The Fiend, there is something for everyone.
Bray Wyatt appears on WWE SmackDown on Fox on Fridays at 8/7c.
