Many expected that tonight’s episode of Dancing With The Stars would be a double elimination because everyone was safe during Disney week last week. However, only one couple was eliminated and at the end of the night and no, it’s not the guy that many were hoping would go.

It was Sasha Farber and Mary Lou Retton who had to leave the competition behind.

Mary Lou and Sasha had done well during their performance and there had been no major mistakes. While they weren’t pulling out the big numbers, they weren’t at the bottom either. During tonight’s episode, it was Mary Lou Retton and Sasha, and Alexis Ren and Alan who were in jeopardy.

It was also during tonight’s episode that Mary Lou opened up to Sasha about getting divorced from her husband Shannon Kelly after 27 years of marriage. She revealed it was rather new, as it happened in February of this year. If you missed their last performance, you can check it out below.

And with Mary Lou Retton gone from the competition and Alexis Ren in the bottom two, it means that Bachelor nation is continuing to vote grocery store Joe. Joe Amabile has survived the past six weeks with mediocre scores, not getting anything above a 6. However, tonight he managed to get 22 with one 8 and two 7s.

Even before the show began, Dancing With The Stars viewers were joking that Joe would be going home. This is the first time that someone who is struggling so much has gone so far. If tonight had been a double elimination, he would have gone through.

It will be interesting to see how far he can get with viewer votes. Many viewers are upset that he’s gone this far, so if he makes it to the finale, Twitter may just blow up with tweets from frustrated hardcore fans.

Dancing With The Stars airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
