Riverdale has taken a dark turn this season. With Archie (KJ Apa) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) on the move, they are about to embark on a new journey. Last week, they walked away from Riverdale following the train tracks, which led them to where they are in tonight’s episode.

Riley Keough joins the Riverdale cast as a guest star. She will be playing Laurie Lake, someone who is supposed to be helping Archie and Jughead as they turn up on her farm. Putting them to work is one thing, but seducing one of them may follow.

Who is Riley Keough?

Viewers may recognize Riley Keough for some of her previous work. She appeared in movies like Magic Mike, The Runaways (which was her film debut), and The Girlfriend Experience. Not only has Keough been in mainstream movies, but she has also been a part of the independent film world as well.

Her mother is the famed daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie. Riley Keough’s father is Danny Keough and growing up, she was able to experience both the world of luxury and the middle class. She is the eldest grandchild of Elvis, something that has followed her throughout life.

What will Laurie Lake do with Archie and Jughead?

It looks like when the Riverdale residents arrive on her farm, Laurie Lake puts them to work. The previews show that there are some tense moments between Archie and Laurie, which has garnered speculation she could be a new love interest for the newly single man.

Just before leaving, Archie broke up with Veronica (Camila Mendes) because he thought she would be better off. This happened just after she was able to get him out of jail and now, she is crushed. Will she come looking for him and find out about Laurie?

Riverdale airs Wednesday nights at 8/7c on the CW network.
