Actress Kristen Johnston has become a familiar Mom cast member this season, bringing a lot of additional humor to the show.

On the latest episode of the show, Tammy was preparing to go on her first date since getting out of prison, with Bonnie (Allison Janney) and the rest of the ladies helping her to get her ready for it.

In the Mom fall finale, there is also another important substory that will revolve around Tammy. In it, she will be looking for a job so that she can avoid getting sent back behind bars.

Hopefully the character is able to stay out of prison, which would allow Johnston to film even more episodes of the show in 2019.

Who is Tammy on the series Mom?

Actress Kristen Johnston joined the series Mom as Tammy in Season 6. The character has joined the supportive group of women that star on the show and she deals with her own addictions as well.

Johnston brings a different type of humor to the series, helping round out an already impressive cast of women that includes Allison Janney, Anna Faris, and Sadie Calvano.

Before taking on Tammy as a member of the Mom cast, Kristen Johnston was best known for her role of Sally Solomon on 3rd Rock from the Sun. She also starred as Ivana Humpalot in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, best friend Rhonda on Music and Lyrics, and as Wilma Slaghoople in one of the Flintstones live-action films.

Producers made a good choice by bringing Kristen Johnston to the cast, as Tammy has been a great addition on the series so far.

Mom airs Thursday nights at 9/8c on CBS.
