Angel Theory is on The Walking Dead as new character Kelly. She is part of the new group that was saved by Judith Grimes in the final episode that Andrew Lincoln took part in.
On the November 11 episode, the character of Kelly was fleshed out a bit more, as the new group had a subplot of its own within the show.
Would they be granted entrance at Alexandria? Michonne is now in charge, following the disappearance of Rick Grimes, and she runs things a bit differently.
Who plays Kelly on The Walking Dead?
Angel Theory is a 19-year-old actress and dancer who has now appeared on two episodes of The Walking Dead.
This is her first role on television, but she already has a big reputation as a professional choreographer and dancer. She was born in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York, and trained in tap, hop hop, jazz, ballet and contemporary dance at the Broadway Dance Center, EXPG studios and Peridance Studios.
Angel later went on to perform amateur nights at the Apollo Theatre, before getting her big break in Phillip George’s Wish You Were Mine and Charles Perry’s Stranger To Love music videos. Her success comes despite her being partially deaf, with hearing loss in her right ear.
On The Walking Dead, her character Kelly is in a group led by the character Magna.
While Magna definitely got the most screentime in the episode called Who Are You Now? the rest of the new group will get their time to shine.

Some backstory on Kelly within The Walking Dead comics
It’s interesting to note that the character of Kelly was actually a male in the comic books. The producers wanted Kelly on the show so much that it appears they altered one of the characters just to get her on it. It may have been a great choice, especially if her first two episodes are any indication of what’s to come on the AMC show.
Kelly is a tall, bald, and built man within the comics. He is actually part of a couple with character Connie.
In this incarnation, Kelly is the sister of fellow new-group member Connie (played by Lauren Ridloff). Kelly and Connie both follow the lead of Magna, and all three have their own stories to tell.
The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9/8c on AMC.
