Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 3 is currently in production and we have several plot hints and casting news for the highly anticipated series.

The second season of Stranger Things was released on October 27, 2017. Unfortunately, fans will not get the third season in 2018.
When will Stranger Things Season 3 premiere on Netflix?
Season 3 of Stranger Things has been confirmed for Summer 2019. The first season had a July air date; therefore, fans should expect a release date for Season 3 between June and July 2019.
According to Cindy Holland, VP of Netflix’s original content, the reason for the delay in production is The Duffer Brothers, who are the creators of the series, have taken more time to write the third season and additional special effects.
The first two seasons were well-received by critics and fans alike. Stranger Things is one of Netflix’s original series credited for boosting the platforms subscribers.
The third season will feature eight episodes.
Stranger Things Season 3 cast and behind the scenes
Mike, Dustin, Eleven and Lucas will be returning, along with Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers. The third season will continue to explore romantic relationships; therefore, Max will also be coming back. Linnea Berthelsen, who plays Kali, will likely return but it is yet to be confirmed.

Cary Elwes and Jake Busey are confirmed to join for Season 3. Busey will portray a journalist while Elwes will play Mayor Kline in an unspecified role.
What to expect in Season 3
Stranger Things 3 will continue to explore beyond Hawkins, Indiana. In the second season, Eleven developed a relationship with Kali Prasad, also known as Eight, who has a similar background and special abilities.
The third season will continue to dive into the Upside Down and the Shadow Monsters, who Eleven managed to trap back inside. The series will also explore the challenges on puberty as the kids of Stranger Things go into their teenage years.
There will be another time jump of about one year to account for the young cast maturing in appearance.
