The Young and the Restless fans are sure to have a hard time saying goodbye to legendary veteran Eileen Davidson but now it’s official. Monday, October 29, 2018, is Davidson’s last air date.
She’s portrayed Ashley Abbott on the number one rated daytime drama for decades. But soon, she will exit the show, leaving a huge gap in the collective heart of Y&R fans.
For the last few weeks, Davidson has been posting regularly about her departure on social media. Now comes word that Monday will be her swan song.
The next few days are sure to be jam-packed with tons of emotional scenes as Davidson and her alter ego bid adieu to Genoa City.
In fact, Ashley’s exit story is a juicy soap plotline for the ages. No routine retirement for her. Nope, Ms. Abbott has royally messed her family up, and herself in the process.

Although this vixen has the face of an angel, inside beats the heart of a devil. Who knew that the blonde bombshell had it in her to wreck her brother Jack’s life by lying about his paternity? Not only did she swipe his manhood, but she also threw him under an 18-wheeler after just for fun.
All because Jack once taunted her about not being a blood Abbott. Fans thought she forgave him for his most recent slight, but oh no, revenge is a dish best served cold.
Over the past days, the true extent of her bitterness and anger came to light, leaving everyone temporarily blinded by the ferocity of her wrath. In order to give Jack a dose of his own medicine, she doctored up his paternity test, leading the whole world to believe that he was not an Abbott after all.
Jack was crushed, humiliated, and left reeling while also being kicked out of the big boy chair at Jabot. The seat was still warm when Ashley plopped her own self down in it. But now that her ruse is over, everyone either hates or ostracizes her.
This week, it’s been revealed that a whopper from beyond the grave will rock her life to its core before she skedaddles out of town.
Will it be with her tail between her legs, or with head held high? Tune in and find out!
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS and in the evening on PopTV.
