The Young and the Restless has another special episode to kick off November sweeps and honor Lauralee Bell as Christine Blair Williams.
Lauralee is celebrating 40 years of playing the character of Christine, aka Cricket.
The actress and character debuted back in 1983 when they were both teenagers.
Lauralee briefly took a break from playing Christine from 2006 to 2010.
Although Christine is often used simply for her legal skills, a new storyline will have her front and center for other reasons.
That all begins with an episode looking back on 40 years of Lauralee and Christine on the hit CBS soap.
The Young and the Restless celebrates Lauralee Bell’s 40th anniversary as Christine
On Thursday, November 2, Y&R will air a stand-alone episode dedicated to Lauralee and Christine. The episode will be filled with flashbacks focusing on Christine’s time in Genoa City.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Christine finds herself at a crossroads personally and professionally, which causes her to reflect on her life. Christine’s best friend, Nina (Tricia Cast), returns to town just in time to help her pal figure out what comes next.
Danny (Michael Damian) also plays a big part in the stand-alone episode. Y&R fans can expect Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to butt in, too, especially as her jealousy over Christine and Danny mounts.
Christine is back on the front burner on Y&R
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Christine confided in Danny that her marriage to Paul (Doug Davidson) is over. Christine’s split kicks off her personal and professional drama as she questions whether she should stick around Genoa City.
When Michael agreed to an extended run as Danny, he teased that the show would revisit the Christine, Danny, and Phyllis love triangle from back in the day. Christine and Phyllis continue to have their rivalry, and with Danny back in town, that only adds fuel to that fire.
The love triangle puts all three vets front and center over the next few weeks, which is so good for Y&R fans.
Lauralee Bell has been playing Christine Blair for 40 years. Despite her parents creating the show, the talented actress carved her own path and made a name for herself on Y&R.
Y&R fans will want to grab those tissues because the special episode honoring Lauralee brings all the feelings, including some tears.
The news of Lauralee’s anniversary special comes after the hit CBS daytime drama did the same thing to honor Tracey E. Bregman’s 40th anniversary as Lauren Fenmore earlier this year.
