Meri Brown of Sister Wives announced that she was surprised by some visitors recently and she is convinced that her mom, Bonnie, was involved.

Meri has been staying at Lizzie’s Heritage Inn in Parowan, Utah. She reopened the inn after a two month closure to mourn the passing of her mother, Bonnie, the innkeeper.

The TLC star took to her Instagram account to tell her followers that she received a surprise visit from some family members.

Meri shared several pics of herself with Bonnie’s cousin and her daughters, posing outside of the bed and breakfast together.

Bonnie’s cousin and her daughters paid Meri a surprise visit

Meri revealed that Bonnie had been planning a visit from her cousin and her daughters before COVID-19 hit. Bonnie and Meri were looking forward to Bonnie’s cousin revealing some memories about their family’s history at the inn.

“Last year before covid hit, my mom was really excited when she told me her cousin and her cousins daughters were planning a trip to the B&B. I had plans to be there when they came,” Meri wrote.

She continued, “Not only were mom and I looking forward to meeting up with family, we were looking forward to picking her [cousin’s] brain on what she could remember about grandma Lizzie and the family home. Having about a decade on mom, we knew that she would have more memories and stories than mom did.”

“Then covid hit, and those plans were canceled. Then mom passed away before we could reschedule the mini reunion. This week I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up my door,” Meri added.

Meri believes Bonnie had a hand in scheduling the visit

She continued, “As much as I wish mom could have been here in person for this, I have no doubt she helped to orchestrate the meeting. (Not the only thing she’s had her fingers in this week, I might add!)”

Meri finished by saying, “What a great time visiting with these beautiful ladies, and hearing stories and memories from mom’s sweet cousin. It was an absolute joy to spend this time with them! ???”

Bonnie, the beloved innkeeper at Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, passed away at the end of March, suddenly and unexpectedly.

Just days after her death, Bonnie was featured in a rare episode of Sister Wives, which was certainly hard for Meri to watch.

Meri hasn’t been shy about struggling with the loss of Bonnie

Meri has shared just how much she misses her mom in several touching posts since her death. Just weeks after Bonnie’s death, Meri admitted that she was “lost” without her “rock.”

She also found herself fending off trolls who told Meri to “get over” Bonnie’s death and called her “dramatic” for mourning the loss of her mother.

The 50-year-old mom of one has been tending to the bed and breakfast in her mother’s absence. Meri’s daughter, Mariah, and her fiancee, Audrey Kriss, headed to Parowan to take over the inn at the height of the pandemic last year.

Some fans of the show believe that Meri is beginning a new life without her estranged husband, Kody. The Sister Wives star debuted a shorter haircut earlier this month, possibly symbolizing a fresh start.

Meri admitted that she is “nervous” about opening the inn without Bonnie’s help, but it looks as though she’s handling things just fine.

Sister Wives is currently on hiatus.
