Jersey Shore Family Vacation has proven so popular that the MTV hit is coming back for Season 2. They won’t be in Miami this time around though. Instead, filming for the new season is starting in Las Vegas, where the cast will continue their antics.
While the rebooted version of Jersey Shore didn’t do quite as well as the original, it’s safe to say that the cast are still incredibly popular. According to an MTV press release, the Jersey Shore Family Vacation premiere pulled in 10 million viewers. With numbers like that, it was the highest premiere for a reality series since 2012 according to Us Weekly.
The only thing that might prevented a second season would have been the cast themselves. Thankfully, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, DJ Pauly D, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Deena Nicole Cortese are set to return for the second season in Las Vegas. Sammy “Sweetheart” Giancola did not return for the first season and she is not expected to take part in the second season either.
Just like in Miami, the group will be staying in a house rented by production. With both Pauly D and Ronny Ortiz-Magro living in Sin City, there have been some questions about whether the house will be one of theirs.
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs on MTV Thursdays at 8 pm ET.
