Did former Real Housewives of Orange County star Braunwyn Windham-Burke really get sued for kissing Tamra Judge during a past season on the show? That’s what the newly fired Housewife claimed in a recent interview.
The incident would have taken place years ago and it’s not clear if the lawsuit happened recently or back then. However, Braunwyn mentioned it while discussing another lawsuit she and husband Sean Burke were recently reported as being embroiled in.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke sued for kissing Tamra Judge?
The recently fired Real Housewives of Orange County star has been very open about her departure from the Housewives franchise. The mom-of-seven would have loved to return to the show but wasn’t asked back after a controversial Season 15 which was filmed during the pandemic.
However, Braunwyn recently reflected on the show, including the memorable moment when she kissed OG Tamra Judge in a bar. But, the 43-year-old also shared some new allegations about the incident which may surprise RHOC fans — apparently, the kiss led to a lawsuit.
The former Bravo Housewife made the claim during an interview with Housewives Nightcap where she dished on reports of a current lawsuit filed by her former landlord.
“When I first got the show Tamra said, ‘get an umbrella policy’ …she’s like you’re gonna get sued all the time,” revealed Braunwyn. “I’m like, ‘No, I won’t! I’ve never been sued in my life.’ She’s like ‘just do it.’ And you know what? she was right. I mean people that you would never expect [will] sue you for stuff, most of it is frivolous and I know other Housewives have dealt with similar stuff.”
“I got sued for kissing Tamra. For real!” she continued. “I mean, the things that people can sue you for are ridiculous.”
Braunwyn Windham-Burke on being sued for alleged unpaid rent
The former Real Housewives of Orange County star also opened up about reports she and her husband Sean Burke have been sued by their former landlord for alleged unpaid rent.
“There was a discrepancy, we do wire transfers every month into our landlord’s trust — it doesn’t go directly to them it goes to a trust,” explained Braunwyn. “And they said there was a month we didn’t do it, we have the wire transfer saying we did…”
“So I’m not totally sure what happened, we were never served,” she added.
During the chat, Braunwyn admitted that she thinks lawsuits often stem from being a reality TV personality.
“You get sued a lot when you’re a public figure, it just goes with the territory,” confessed the RHOC star.
“This, I think, will go away cause obviously we’re not staying in the house and I think that…mainly they wanted to make sure we were moving for real, cause in California you can stay in a property right now for months without paying.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County is currently on hiatus on Bravo.
