90 Day Fiance fans have been trying to draw connections between new Season 9 cast member Bilal Hazziez and Before the 90 Days alum Tom Brooks.
It seems that viewers are finding similarities between Bilal and Tom for the ways that they try to highlight their money and status and show an affinity for all things bougie.
A popular meme made by a 90 Day fan page on Instagram compared several traits that Bilal and Tom seem to have in common. The meme also remarked that Bilal has been pretending to be poor whereas Tom has been perceived to be portraying himself as rich.

90 Day viewers are finding that Bilal has been coming off as materialistic and have noticed that he has not only tried to flex his wealth on the show but also on social media. Tom Brooks has been known to do the same thing.
Bilal proclaimed himself to be “hood bougie” and Tom endeavors to make it clear that he tries to be bougie based on the lifestyle he portrays.
To that end, a popular meme was created by a 90 Day Fiance fan page comparing the two men.
The meme featured Tom holding a bunch of shopping bags with the one on the outside being Gucci next to a picture of Bilal in a nice-looking suit. There was a lightning bolt separating the two images that said, “VS.”
Below that, there were green check marks on both sides to signal that Bilal and Tom both, “[Flex] ‘wealth’ on social media,” and, “[Love] all things bougie.”
The point where the meme said they differ was that Tom, “Pretends to be rich,” while Bilal “Pretends to be poor.”
Bilal Hazziez’s prank on Shaeeda did not sit well with 90 Day Fiance viewers
90 Day Fiance viewers learned that Bilal has been hiding his wealth from his fiance Shaeeda by never letting her see the car he drives or his house.
To that end, he decided to pull a prank on Shaeeda the day she arrived by picking her up in a messy utility van and bringing her to his run-down family home that he passed off as his own.
Shaeeda said she felt deceived by the way Bilal presented himself versus what she arrived into.
90 Day viewers have spoken out on social media about Bilal’s prank and condemned him for it.

Whyyyyy? I think this was a GENIUS thing to do, and obviously Shaeeda, is only with him for his money, he should take the money hungry leech back to the airport, then send her a picture of what her shallowness missed! I always lied Tom too, Darcey and her alcoholism, needs to go into a LONG TERM rehab and Tom didn’t need all her baggage!
