My 600-lb Life: Skin Tight is back for Season 3 and here’s the trailer

You lose the weight and feel…like you are being punished for trying to get healthy

Losing the fat is one thing, but hanging skin presents a new form of hellish imprisonment for those who have lost hundreds of pounds. TLC brings back My 600-lb Life: Skin Tight on Wednesday, March 7 at 10/9c.

Excess skin is not pretty and has its own unique challenges for people to remain comfortable and fit into clothing normally.

In the series, no-nonsense weight-loss medic Dr. Younan Nowzaradan will find the right subjects looking to undergo a full-body transformation through skin removal surgery.

There are scheduled to be thirteen one-hour episodes with each following two to three people who made their goals for weight-loss — but have disfiguring amounts of hanging skin.

The show takes us on a start-to-finish ride as we see the physical changes the subjects undergo. Adding to this near the end of the season are two new one-hour “Where Are They Now” episodes which look at how people from previous seasons are getting on.

The premiere will feature Stephanie, who ballooned after giving birth — and whose son must overcome a heart defect and stroke with a life-saving op.

Stephanie had gastric surgery and lost 200-lb, but her excess skin pretty much ruined any chance of a normal life or romantic relationship.

Her mother Darcy also has excess skin after going from 300-lb to 160-lb. Both want the plastic surgery needed to restore their body contours.

Also on the premiere is B.J., who swapped drug addiction and overeating for faith and religion. The former 500+ pound man now weighs in at 150-lb, but he needs the excess skin removed so he can fulfill his fatherly duties and keep up with his family.
