Michael Kors returns to Project Runway this week — as a guest-judge on the first part of the Season 15 finale.

The leading designer stepped down as a judge in 2012 after ten years in the role, before being replaced by Zac Posen.

But this week he’s back as he helps the other judges rate the designers’ creations in the penultimate episode of the season.

Cornelius Ortiz was eliminated last week so there are now just four contestants left in the running.

They are Erin Robertson, Laurence Basse, Rik Villa and Roberi Parra, out of an original Project Runway Season 15 cast of 16.

Erin said of Kors: “He’s an icon of Project Runway.” But he doesn’t hold back in his criticism of some of the designers’ efforts.

This week also sees Tim Gunn spending time with the designers at home, to get the lowdown from friends and family.

But he’s not impressed with all the contestants’ creations. Then after time at home, the four designers get back to NYC and present three items to Kors and the other judges — Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Posen.

Next week is the season finale and takes place at New York Fashion Week, as the designers make final adjustments to their collections before the winner takes it all.

Project Runway airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Lifetime.
