Giant SNAIL feast as contestant Wes struggles on Naked and Afraid

This week on Naked and Afraid we meet Gio and Wes — who cook up a giant snail feast after stripping down to their birthday suits.

Brunette Gio finds the snail lurking at the foot of a tree in the jungle and when she picks it up it’s absolutely massive.

But while many people would probably be squeamish about eating such a slimy beast, with her and Wes’s nutrition running low she can’t wait to gobble him up.

She says: “He’s really heavy and he’s really beautiful, and…he’s going to be delicious.”

A gaunt-looking Wes is also super-psyched about the “escargot grand” — which they estimate weighs about 5lb — and they quickly whip up a fire and roast him on the barbecue.

After tucking in the pair both say it tastes like pork…and snail.

Gio says: “It was so wonderful to eat it, to have hot food to chew and swallow, and just nourish us, was just absolutely wonderful.”

But things aren’t always so happy for the pair on this week’s episode, with Wes starting to break down as his stay in the jungle wears on.

Gio says he just can’t stop doing things, and adds: “I’m watching him deteriorate slowly.” He then admits: “I kind of hit the wall today.” She tells him: “You seriously need to chill out a little bit.
