It’s time! The Game of Thrones Season 8 start date has been revealed by HBO. This is information that fans of the show have been waiting to learn for quite a long time. That long wait just ended.

In a new Game of Thrones teaser trailer, fans were greeted with brand new footage from the show. It may not be anything that appears in the upcoming season, but it certainly re-introduces some important characters.

As the GoT teaser trailer below shows, Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, and Arya Stark are shown in the crypts below Winterfell.

The Starks see relatives from their past as they are greeted with quotes from the show. Then they see themselves. That all happens right before ice starts to overtake the crypts of Winterfell.

Ending the GoT teaser trailer was the information that fans have been clamoring for. The official Game of Thrones Season 8 start date is April 14. This will start off the final season of the HBO show, beginning the march toward the series finale.

There are only going to be six episodes of the show during Season 8, but HBO already revealed that they will each be of an extended length.
