Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo will perform their new duet, Fall on Me, during tonight’s episode of Dancing With The Stars. The two are performing their new song from Disney’s upcoming motion picture, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, tonight as part of Disney night.

Each couple will perform a dance inspired by a Disney movie, including the classic movies like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Best, and some of the newer Disney flicks, like Ralph Breaks the Internet.

The name Andrea Bocelli may ring a bell for many, as he’s been a powerhouse in the classical music industry for years. Surprisingly, he has been blind since the age of 12, as he suffered a blow to the head during a soccer game.

Bocelli’s passion for singing and pursuing that as a career didn’t happen until he was well into his 30s – the late 1980s. He started performing in piano bars around Italy. More notably, he’s performed for the Pope and worked with Luciano Pavarotti and Sarah Brightman. Throughout the years, he has also worked with Hélène Ségara, Marta Sánchez, Sandy and Judy Weiss, and Celine Dion.

Prior to pursuing a career in classical music and singing, he received his law degree (Ph.D.) from the University of Pisa. He was also awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California on March 2, 2010.

While we can’t confirm that his net worth is $40 million as many websites claim, we can reveal that in 2016, Bocelli sold 394,000 albums, according to Forbes.

The magazine explains that in the classical genre, 5.83 million albums were sold overall in 2015, making him take him a fairly big slice of the pie. If he merely got $3 per album sold, he would have over $1 million to his name. That doesn’t include concert earnings, endorsement deals, and everything else he could make money on.

Andrea Bocelli is currently married to Veronica Berti but was previously married to Enrica Cenzatti. He has two sons, Matteo and Amos, from his first marriage, and a daughter, Virginia Bocelli, with Veronica.

Matteo was born on October 8, 1997, in a Tuscan resort town, making him 21 years old. He’s the younger son. His older brother Amos is from 1995, so two years older. The two teamed up for the song, Fall On Me, which they will perform tonight on Dancing With The Stars.

Matteo is featured several times on Andrea Bocelli’s new album, Sì. They sing in both English and Italian, and Matteo is featured on Fall On Me and on Ven a Mi. The album is out October 26.

As for Andrea, he feels that their voices together blend well, which is why they sound so good together. Andrea Bocelli has reflected on making music with his son and explained to Billboard that they are indeed similar in the attitude.

“Technically they are very different, but there is one thing that makes them most similar: the attitude. That characteristic way of expressing yourself through your voice,” he explained. “This makes Matteo and I very similar. But that is something that you cannot learn, that cannot be taught. That is something you are born with.”

Matteo’s music career is rather new, as he performed for the first time in the United States of America on March 30, 2017, when he participated in the David Foster and Friends competition for the Horatio Alger Award in Washington.

Bocelli and Foster are indeed great friends, which may be why Matteo called Bella Hadid a special friend on social media. Bella is the step-daughter of Foster and their lives were featured on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when Yolanda Hadid was on the show.

Given how Matteo’s singing is being received around the world, it’s quite possible that this is not the last time that Bocelli fans will hear him perform.

Dancing With The Stars airs tonight at 8/7c on ABC.
