Ancient Aliens: Was Shiva the Destroyer an alien leader?

This week’s Ancient Aliens examines whether the ancient Hindu god Shiva could have been an extraterrestrial.

The experts discuss whether the deity, sometimes known as Shiva the Destroyer, was in fact the leader of an alien group who brought advanced technology to Earth.

Shiva is one of a trinity of major gods in Hinduism. The name is Sanskrit and means The Auspicious One.

More famously he is also known as the Creator, the Preserver and the Destroyer.

American theoretical physicist Robert Oppenheimer quoted Shiva’s fellow deity Krishna after the first atomic bomb was detonated on July 16, 1945.

He said: “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.”

The quote is from the Bhagavad Gita part of the Hindu sweeping tome the Mahabharata. The actual verse is runs:

Lord Krsna said:”I am terrible time the destroyer of all beings in all worlds, engaged to destroy all beings in this world.”

Thought to be a seal of an early Proto-Shiva
This seal dated 2600–1900 BCE, is thought to show an early Proto-Shiva in yogic form

Oppenheimer was impressed with the Mahabharata and learned Sanskrit to read in its original form, saying its philosophies shaped his life.

In terms of form he can take just about any one he desires. Sometimes seen as a Yogi when peaceful or fighting demons when he is angry.

Nearly all depictions of him show the god with a third eye in the middle of his forehead and a snake around his neck.

Ancient Astronaut theorists point to like The Kailasa Temple carved out of a single rock at Ellora, Maharashtra, India. The complex is remarkable for its size, complexity and amazing sculptures.

Could it and other like it be the work of ancient aliens such as Shiva or perhaps inspired by them?

Other would also point out that CERN, home to the  Large Hadron Collider (LHC), has a a statue of Shiva at its site in Switzerland. A simple gift from the Indian government or a acknowledgment of the role Shiva has played in advancing our technology.

Whether Shiva and his fellow Hindu gods came from another planet to impart knowledge or not, the works attributed to them have certainly influences modern thinking and society.

Shiva or Siva was not called “destroyer” that was Kali. Shiva is the “creator”. Also in my humble opinion, Yoga started first then the religion/belief used it as influence. The snake shouldn’t exist around the neck, that was early art form/perception of unfinished science/discovery. I would suggest that it is an extension like another arm/tool symbolic that it’s there but not necessarily visible. Like all great art of spirit science and discovery in history was captured from the artist (discoverer) and conformed to be used as tools to influence others politically.
