Watch as a school of fearsome tiger sharks feast on a bloody whale carcass — as stunned tourists look on.
The feeding frenzy took place in Australia’s appropriately named Shark Bay after the predators were attracted by the smell of the carcass.
Two boats situated right next to the whale’s floating remains were able to watch the feast unfold from close range, as a drone filmed the scenes from overhead.
Seeing so many tiger sharks in such crystal clear waters is uncommon. The tourists were taking part in a 14-day cruise with firm Eco Abrolhos up the north-west coast of Western Australia when they came across the carcass at around lunchtime last Friday just inside the bay’s Dirk Hartog island.
A spokesman said: “It’s something to show and tell the grandchildren!”
