Last week on WWE Monday Night Raw, Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre lost a match to The Shield.
After the match ended, Braun Strowman was furious that his partners could not hold up their end of the bargain and he ended up power slamming Dolph Ziggler onto the mat.
Drew McIntyre responded to this by hitting the Claymore Kick on Braun Strowman and then walked out on both men. That was the cliffhanger that ended last week’s episode of Raw.
Is Braun Strowman turning good?
In some possible WWE spoilers for tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Strowman looks like he is turning face again.
Ringside News reports that at the WWE Live shows over the weekend in Maine and Boston, Braun ran into the ring to save Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose from Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. At a third show, Strowman beat Ziggler in a single’s match.
This makes sense as him turning heel made no sense at all when it happened since he was one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster when it came to loud crowd pops.
The biggest idea is that The Shield was cheating anyway to help Roman Reigns hold onto his WWE Universal Championship in matches against Braun Strowman, so he just evened the odds.
The fact that Strowman chose two villains in Ziggler and McIntyre seemed to make him a bad guy too. However, if Braun had chosen say Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley at the time, he would have been seen as someone just looking to even the odds.
With the WWE Monday Night Raw tag team champions unable to hold up their end of the bargain against The Shield, Braun Strowman no longer needs them and can go back to being the fan favorite he was meant to be.
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will battle Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre for the Raw tag team titles tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw.
