There is a dream match coming to WWE, and it will play out on Monday Night Raw with just one day of promotions.

Asuka and Shayna Baszler will battle each other on Monday Night Raw on March 2.

For fans who haven’t paid attention to NXT throughout the years, this is important because these are the two longest-reigning champions in NXT history.

WWE dream match: Asuka vs. Shayna Baszler

Asuka was the fifth woman to ever hold the NXT Women’s Championship. She held the title for 522 days and never lost it.

Instead, after her 522-day title reign, Asuka moved on to the main roster and remained undefeated until losing to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania.

Asuka’s undefeated streak beat that of even Bill Goldberg.

Shayna Baszler was the seventh NXT Women’s Champion, and she was also the only person in history to win the title twice. She beat Ember Moon in 2017 and held the title for 132 days.

She lost it to Kairi Sane and then won it back and went on to hold it for 416 days before losing the title to Rhea Ripley last December.

Shayna Baszler held the title longer than anyone, with a total of 548 days as champion. Asuka is second, with 522 total days, which is the longest single NXT Women’s Championship reign.

Baszler held the title longer than Asuka but lost twice while Asuka never lost.

No man has ever held the NXT Championship for more than 292 total days.

Now, the two greatest champions in NXT history will battle each other on Monday Night Raw and WWE announced the match one day before it took place.

Asuka and Baszler to also fight at Elimination Chamber

This WWE dream match is just to set up the big match inside an Elimination Chamber cage at the March WWE PPV.

That match will see Shayna Baszler, Asuka, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, and Natalya, all battling for the right to fight Becky Lynch for the Raw women’s title at WrestleMania this year.

The match has a couple of interesting storylines.

One is the three former members of the Riott Squad all involved in the match.

Ruby Riott is feuding with Liv Morgan since turning heel on her a couple of weeks ago on Monday Night Raw. What side will Sarah Logan take in the cage, or is it every woman for themselves?

Natalya is there as the veteran in the match.

However, the biggest story features two of the most dominant NXT stars in history inside the cage, and WWE is giving fans their first one-on-one match on Monday Night Raw this week.

WWE Monday Night Raw airs at 8/7c on USA Network.
