For the past two months, the WWE has done everything that they can to make the fans turn on Brock Lesnar.

Despite Lesnar playing the villain, WWE fans cheered for him every time he showed up even if it was to face off with one of the company’s fan favorite superstars.

Roman Reigns has been coming out and calling out Brock Lesnar for refusing to defend his WWE Universal Championship for weeks now, but so many fans hate Reigns that it isn’t working well.

The WWE tried to do something about it when Kurt Angle made an announcement at Extreme Rules tonight.

As Angle said in that interview, he is tired of Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman refusing to defend the WWE Universal Championship. He said that he re-opened negotiations with Lesnar and Heyman but the two still refuse to accept a title defense.

On top of that, Angle brought up the fact that Brock Lesnar showed up at UFC 226 and got into the face of champion Daniel Cormier — something that the champion refers to as “punishment” for Lesnar failing a drug test last time he was there.

Kurt Angle then said the negotiations are over with and if Brock Lesnar does not show up at Monday Night Raw this week and agree to his next title defense, he will be stripped of his WWE Universal Championship.

Of course, this is the WWE and this is a storyline.

The best bet is that Paul Heyman shows up on Monday Night Raw to let Kurt Angle know that he contacted Stephanie McMahon and that Brock Lesnar does not have to do anything. He will maybe even give a legal threat.

However, the huge fan reaction when Angle said he could strip Brock Lesnar of the WWE Universal Championship on Monday Night Raw should tell the WWE what they need to know.

The WWE Universe is tired of Brock Lesnar being a part-time champion and it is time to put the belt on someone who will be there full-time.
