WWE Evolution is NOT canceled: It’s just the VIP Lounge event

The ticket sales for WWE Evolution have been low leading to rumors last weekend that the show was canceled.  The good news for fans who are excited to see what the all women’s WWE pay-per-view can do this weekend is that it is not canceled.

WWE cancels Evolution VIP event

The confusion came when Ticketmaster reported that the WWE Evolution VIP Lounge at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum was canceled.

When looking at the Ticketmaster website, the WWE Evolution tickets are still on sale but only the WWE Evolution VIP Lounge has been canceled. Refunds for tickets for the lounge will be given at Point of Purchase only.

This event was supposed to take place one hour before WWE Evolution began. Ringside News contacted Ticketmaster but were told there was no reason given for the cancelation of the event.

WWE Evolution takes place on Sunday, Oct. 28, and has a start time of 6:30 p.m. EST.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter in September, there were 11,000 seats available for the show and there were doubts that it could sell out.

However, the Observer reported a few days ago that the announcement of Nikki Bella vs. Ronda Rousey in the main event caused a “surge” in ticket sales and they believe it will now sell out.

The WWE will be promoting the show tonight and booked Lita to make an appearance on Monday Night Raw.
