Triple H and Shawn Michaels teamed up for the first time in over a decade to battle Kane and the Undertaker for the first time ever at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
According to the WWE, Triple H suffered a torn pectoral muscle during the match.
While Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that he was headed back to the United States to undergo surgery, PWInsider reports that he is actually headed to Birmingham, Alabama to get the injury officially diagnosed.
It is likely he will immediately undergo surgery while in Birmingham if that is the case. This will take Triple H out of in-ring action for a number of months.
Fans who watched WWE Crown Jewel saw the injury happen early on in the match. After Shawn Michaels was tossed into the corner, Triple H was launched at his Degeneration X partner but went up and over the turnbuckle and to the outside of the ring.
Triple H stayed down for an extended period of time holding his arm. he then fought for over 15 more minutes in the match, but he was obviously hindered and many of his moves looked much weaker than fans are used to from the WWE superstar.

Triple H was actually put through a table later in the match, so he was willing to give all despite suffering the injury early on.
The WWE looked to be hinting at a Triple H feud with Batista to run through WrestleMania next year but if this injury keeps Triple H out until early 2019, that might end up shelved or changed to simply a one-off match between the two.
