Earlier this month, Bray Wyatt revealed a new WWE Universal Championship belt which swapped out the red for a blue in favor of SmackDown. On the newest episode of the show, The Fiend’s custom title belt was unveiled, bringing with it one of the most unique looking titles in WWE history.
The Fiend shows off his new custom belt
Bray Wyatt’s The Fiend character is known for the creepy-looking mask he dons for his matches or for attacking superstars in the dark arena. On Friday’s episode of SmackDown on Fox, The Fiend had a special Firefly Fun House episode during which he revealed his new championship belt.
His “new toy” features that same creepy face mask on the front along with the words “Hurt” on the top of the straps and “Heal” on the bottom of them. The sides of the belt almost seem like stretched out flesh with veins, with some people comparing it to a horror character.
It’s a major departure from the previous look and from all of the other custom championship belts over the years. Those have included the Smoking Skulls belt Stone Cold Steve Austin had, John Cena’s “spinner” belt, and Edge’s Rated-R edition of the belt. They were unique but never had a superstar’s face stretched across the front like that.
Reactions were across the board for the new-look WWE Universal Championship belt that Wyatt presented, including excited, scared, and disappointed.
“Hi, this is terrifying and I’m already having nightmares about it,” one Twitter commenter said.
“I get where they were trying to go with it but I feel the design needs tweaked a bit,” another said.
“I’ve seen a lot of different superstars change the #WWETitle and #UniversalTitle as their version to reflect their character and personality but this looks fab,” yet another said.
Of course, there were also plenty of commenters saying they disliked the custom title look and others who believe that Wyatt as The Fiend is a “merch machine” now.
New Fiend replica belts available at WWE Shop
The reason for the “merch machine” comments are likely due to the assortment of items available for purchase since The Fiend arrived. They include his puppet friends from the Firefly Fun House as well as Fiend gloves and mask. Now there’s the new belt as well.
As quickly as the new Fiend custom Universal title showed up on WWE SmackDown, it also became available in the WWE Shop. They tweeted out that there will be “a limited quantity first run” of “custom handcrafted titles” from Tom Savini’s special effects studio. They become available for pre-order on Saturday, November 30 via WWE Shop.

So far, there is no price information available, but WWE fans can check out Bray Wyatt’s merchandise page at the WWE Shop to see the latest details as soon as they’re up. One has to wonder how many of these custom handcrafted Fiend belts will be under Christmas trees this holiday season.
In addition to all this, it was just revealed that Bray Wyatt has become the top merchandise seller in WWE. It’s a high honor for the SmackDown personality.
WWE Smackdown airs Friday nights at 8/7c on USA Network.
