When Kenny Omega lost his IWGP Heavyweight Championship at NJPW WrestleKingdom, many fans thought he might be on his way out of the company.

That turned out to be the exact truth.

Kenny Omega leaves NJPW

Sports Illustrated reported that Kenny Omega officially announced that he was leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling. The original interview was with Tokyo Sports.

Omega had been with New Japan since 2010 and became not only their top star but possibly the most popular America wrestler to ever compete in Japan during the last eight years.

That will come to an end.

Now, the question is where he will end up and Kenny Omega has given no clues one way or the other.

“If I go to WWE, the fans there will be pleased, and the fans there will be pleased if I go to AEW,” Omega told Tokyo Sports. “I want to be in a place where Kenny is going to be happy.”

WWE offers Kenny Omega a monster deal

The WWE knows that All Elite Wrestling means that Kenny Omega has options now.

With that said, the WWE has reportedly offered Kenny Omega a lot to try to do “everything they can” to sign him to join their company.

There was also a rumor that the WWE was planning to offer Kenny Omega creative control, but Dave Meltzer debunked those reports.

Ringside News reports that the WWE is offering Omega up to $3.5 million to sign with them, which is more than they pay almost anyone on their roster outside of established veterans.
